Access Statement

The Whitehall Hotel is over 100 years old and was originally designed as a family residence. This access statement will help you decide how our hotel meets your needs.

· The Railway and Bus station are only a mile away.

· We are served by taxi and bus service.

· From the road a 120cm wide path with 14 steps of various heights leads to the front door, there is a steel handrail.

· The Hotel is accessed by 2 steps into a porch with a further step to the reception desk.

· The car park at the rear of the hotel has 18 steep stone steps to the reception area.

· The ground floor is level except for one step leading to and from the bar.

· We have no lift to the bedrooms which are on the 1st and 2nd floor. There are 17 100cm stairs (with 2 landings) to the first floor. The 12 Stairs to the 2nd floor are steeper and narrower.

· Rooms have raised numbers.

· Decorating has improved contrast

· Those with disabilities are accommodated in a room that has direct access to the parking area for safety and ease of entry and exit.

· Service dogs are welcome in restricted areas.
